General Restorative Dentistry
With every aspect of our practice, our goal is to prevent dental problems before more invasive treatments are required. In those instances when restorative treatment is needed, Dr. Singh always takes the most conservative and comfortable approach to restoring your smile.
Restorative dentistry covers a range of procedures, from filling a small cavity to performing a full-mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Singh and our team evaluate each individual case through comprehensive exams and the implementation of high-tech tools, such as digital x-rays. Once the patient’s concerns are understood, we design a treatment plan to provide strong, long-lasting solutions.
While providing restorative dentistry, it is beneficial to the patient to work in one quadrant at a time. Doing this minimizes restorative visits and allows Dr. Singh to provide the best service possible. All restorative work is done in the lab at the same time, by the same person, using the same material. All of this eliminates problems, establishes a better bite and gives Dr. Singh more control over the outcome. Everything looks and functions better long term.
Let Dr. Singh and her team help keep your smile beautiful and healthy. Ask about our restorative dentistry services today.

When a tooth has been severely chipped or cracked, or when a dental implant or bridge has been placed, a naturally-looking porcelain crown is used to restore function to your smile. Although there are several types of crowns, porcelain (tooth colored) are the most popular because they blend with your natural teeth.
Restoring your smile with a crown is possible within a few office visits. First, a comprehensive exam will be completed. Dr. Singh will then help you decide which type of crown is right for your needs. Next, an impression will be made of your teeth and sent to the dental lab. The lab will then artistically create your new crown, and in the meantime, a temporary crown will be fitted to protect your tooth.
Porcelain crowns flawlessly:
- Restore a tooth that is chipped or cracked
- Replace old metal crowns
- Cosmetic enhancement
- Protect and strengthen a tooth after a root canal
- Become the restorative component for a dental implant

Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth. Implants help to improve chewing and speaking. In the past, dentures and bridges were among the only ways to replace missing teeth. However advanced technology provides Dr. Singh a way to replace teeth with benefits that far exceed the other options available.
When a tooth is missing, the jawbone lacks the support it needs to stay strong and healthy. Over time, the bone will begin to deteriorate, causing teeth to shift. This can lead to bite collapse. While traditional dentures and bridges can restore the natural appearance of the teeth and gum tissue, they are not able to provide the jawbone stability like a dental implant.
A dental implant is a small metal post that is surgically placed into the bone, replacing the root of a missing tooth. Once placed, the bone tissue fuses to the implant, creating an anchor for the new tooth. Depending on the case, the integration process can be complete in about four to nine months. During this time, Dr. Singh will have our skilled dental lab create a natural-looking dental crown to place on top of the post. The end result is a fully-functional restoration that is virtually identical to the original tooth.
There is no reason to live your life with a missing tooth! Advances in modern dentistry give us the ability to restore smiles with the most natural function and beauty. Have questions? Nightguards & Mouthguards
Sometimes teeth need added protection from sports, nighttime grinding and clenching. Our doctors can provide you with custom-fit sportsguards and nightguards. Our custom fit nightguards fit teeth perfectly, offering more comfort and protection than any store-bought guards.
Those who grind their teeth at night can benefit from a custom nightguard. Using a nightguard will provide your teeth and jaws relief from grinding pressure, by putting both into proper alignment. Their custom fit makes wearing a nightguard safe and comfortable while worn during sleep. Nightguards also have added benefits of decreasing pressure on the jaw joint and protecting and extending the life of dental restorations.
Sportsguards are designed to protect your teeth from injury during contact sports. Our custom guards are fabricated of high-quality materials, with a customized fit for maximum protection. By wearing a sportsguard, your teeth will be cushioned from any blow to the face or jaw, and you’ll reduce your risk for concussion.
Don’t let grinding and clenching make you miserable. Call 2200 Westlake Dentistry today to discuss your treatment options.
Periodontal Gum Therapy
You might not know it, but your gums are a great indicator of your dental and general health. Bleeding, swollen, or tender gums are all signs of possible gum disease. In cases where gum disease advances into periodontal disease, there becomes a risk of significant loss of the bone in the jaw, ultimately leading to tooth loss. In many cases, periodontal disease has been directly linked to health concerns such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, and low birth weight babies.
Our office offers periodontal gum therapy to restore diseased gums back to optimum health. This unique cleaning is called scaling and root planing, a surgery-free way to remove plaque and tartar from the root surfaces of the teeth and deep inside the gum pockets.
Advanced soft-tissue laser technology is used to treat and kill bacteria while repairing the gum tissue. Laser dentistry is the least invasive way to prevent and treat periodontal disease before it becomes so advanced that tooth loss is inevitable. Treatment is virtually painless, with minimal bleeding, and in fact, because the gum tissue begins to heal as it’s being treated, you’ll experience a quicker recovery time and more pleasant experience than that of traditional treatment methods.
Healthy gums play a leading role in the health of your entire mouth and body. At 2200 Westlake Dentistry, we take a proactive approach to preventing gum disease, with full periodontal charting once a year and spot checks during any other appointment. When the pulp of the tooth becomes infected due to decay or injury, it may cause excruciating pain or become abscessed. Without removing the infectious tissue through a root canal, the tooth is at risk of being lost or needing to be pulled. Dr. Singh provides comfortable root canals designed to remove pain and preserve your natural teeth.
Advanced dentistry makes root canals more effective and comfortable than ever before and allows your tooth to be saved. During treatment, the infected tissue is removed and the deep canals of the tooth are cleaned, sterilized and filled with a rubber-like material. Once the process is complete, Dr. Singh may suggest placing a crown to strengthen and protect the tooth from breaking.
We understand that the idea of root canals may be intimidating. We invite you to discuss your fears with Dr. Singh. She will gladly answer all questions you may have. Remember root canals are meant to make you feel better, not worse!
